Daehan Fire Asset Recovery

West Point, Georgia
Deahan after the fire.crop2

Client/ Owner: Daehan Solutions

Contract/ Value: Confidential

When the West Point, Georgia plant that produced the sound barrier elements, primarily headliners and carpet, for the nearby Kia Motors manufacturing facility collapsed as a result of a catastrophic fire, the Kia plant was forced to cease production. Atlanta Demolition was contracted to recover the massive die used to cut the sound barrier elements that were buried in the rubble. While it would have taken up to a year to replace these critical parts, we were able to recover the fire-resistant metal pieces while removing the debris left by the fire, enabling Daehan to resume production considerably faster. This made it possible for Kia to resume its full production schedule much sooner than if the die had required replacement.
